Nest a matter under another contact person

Overview

Moves a matter from its current contact to a different destination contact (nesting). The source contact is automatically deleted if it has no remaining matters after the nesting operation.

Important

The matter being nested must have a different name than any existing matter on the destination contact. If names collide, the API returns a 422 validation error.

Authentication

Available for Staff, App, and Directory tokens.
